Subject: Back in Los Angeles
Dear
Ashu,
Now that I am finally home in Los Angeles after my three
days in Kuala Lumpur, I wanted to write and tell you what a terrific time I
had in India and I can't wait to return. Next time I'll probably go down
south and I'll also travel with a friend so that I can indulge myself and
stay in some of the wonderful palace hotels I saw along the way.
All the arrangements you made for me worked well. There were no times when I
arrived at an airport and was not met immediately upon arrival. Most of the
hotels were fine although some seemed a bit neglected -- the Holiday Inn in
Agra had a rather shabby lobby but all the rooms were comfortable. The
Holiday Inn in Jaipur was probably one of the better ones. I did go and have
dinner with some Irish women I met along the way who were staying at the
Rambagh Palace in Jaipur. They invited me to have dinner with them and,
frankly, I was very envious. It was beautiful there.
I am just
sorry that some of the hotels I stayed in were almost empty due to the
aftermath of September 11th and also due to the problems India and Pakistan
are having. In Khajuraho I was sometimes the only person in the restaurant.
Khajuraho was fabulous and I am glad I did not omit any of the destinations
even though my time was short. Some of the places did not really warrant a
stay of several days and Udaipur was certainly one where a little over a day
there was about the right amount of time.
The guides, for the
most part, were knowledgeable. The only problem I encountered with most of
them was the "hard sell" in the shops they took me to which were
usually couched in the expression, "Now would you like to see some
examples of the local artisans," etc. I found the best way to get out
in one piece was to ask for their card and say that I would like to think
about it. I realize that tourism is down and the local shop-keepers have to
make money to survive but it was quite painful at times.
Lastly,
and most importantly, my wonderful driver Prem Chand who was always
courteous, delightful, an excellent driver and whose smiling, handsome face
I was happy to see again when I landed in Agra. In spite of the frightening
traffic on the roads, he ferried me safely from Agra to Jaipur, pointing out
things along the way, and is a great credit to your company. I was even able
to sit in the car without flinching at the traffic in the very end. That was
quite an achievement with the variety of vehicles on the road.
Thank you for all your help and I will certainly recommend your company to
anybody who might be planning a trip to India in the future.
Regards,
Elaine Gilboa-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Subject: APPRECIATIVE CLIENTS
Ashu,
Pauline and I would like to
express our appreciation and thanks for the exemplary service that we
received from all Trans India representatives during our recent holiday.
Everything was organized and worked perfectly, resulting in us
enjoying a most memorable experience. The quality of service and genuine
hospitality that we received from our hosts all around India was remarkable.
Special mention must go to our driver, "MP", who looked
after us extremely well in addition to being an exceptionally talented
driver.
All in all, a first class experience, which has enabled
us to recommend Trans India to our friends and make the company our first
choice for long haul destinations.
Can you please ensure that we
are included on your future marketing information, (we have already received
information regarding safari's in Africa), our next long haul trip is likely
to be the southern states of the USA in 2003.
Finally our
personal thanks to you for your courteous and prompt attention to our
requirements.
Kindest regards
Graham & Pauline Beck

Dear Ankur,
Well I am back from my
holidays in India and I am writing to tell you I have really enjoyed the
tour. everything went very smoothly and I have expressed this in the
feedback questionnaire you left in the information pack. HS our driver was
really nice and caring and I hope he did not get too bored up in the
mountains. out of all the hotels, we enjoyed the Glasshouse best because of
its location and the beautiful garden and kind staff. the centaur hotel was
definitely a very depressive place and I will never stay there again (I
should have asked your advice on that one).
and according to the
Indian gentleman who read my hand (palmistry in the Trident) the prediction
are that nick and I will be back in India in 3 years time!
It was
really nice meeting you and I would definitely recommend you to any of our
friends.
best regards

Letter of thanks and Congratulations to both your company and Raj Kumar (The
Shokar Party)
Date: Tue, 26 Nov 2002 16:05:25 +1100
Dear Mr. Goswamy,
Recently I was fortunate
enough to travel and experience the many splendors of India with great
assistance in planning and execution from Trans World Travels. I would like
to commend your company and particularly Raj Kumar for an outstanding
effort.
My travel companions and I have travelled extensively
throughout all continents, and agree unanimously Raj's dedication to
providing an exclusive service was above all we have experienced. Raj should
be congratulated for his prompt and detailed replies in the planning of the
trip which made the planning across three time zones a hassle free and
enjoyable experience.
Our welcome to India and precise execution
of all plans made us feel well beyond "Travellers", but as well
regarded guests to your country. The level of service was certainly beyond
all expectations of duty. Raj should be congratulated not only as an
employee of your company but as a wonderful ambassador for India.
Once again, I would like to commend both Raj Kumar and yourself for your
pursuit of excellence. We will be highly recommending your services to our
travel agents and prospective travellers to India.
Yours
sincerely
